Today is Monica’s second birthday and I can’t help but feel a little extra mushy. This little girl made us parents and in a few months, she’ll be a big sister. As a bit of a numbers nerd, she turns 24 months old when I’m 24 weeks pregnant. While there have been some challenging moments as she gains more independence; overall, she’s such a sweetheart.
We had a small family party for her over the weekend. The unofficial theme was Monica’s favorites that start with the letter “B”: Bee, books, blueberries, brats, balloons, balls, and of course birthday cupcakes :)
The weather was beautiful, so everyone relaxed outside while the todders played in the sandbox or princess castle. Of course, there were a few trips to the park to play on the slides and swings. And she didn’t waste any time trying to snatch a cupcake when it came time to sing “Happy Birthday!”
