Welcome to Fiscally Chic! I’m Cathy, an accountant and lover of cupcakes, running, nesting, my family. We live in Chicago and I’m a CPA in Illinois. Business is in my blood and my favorite board game growing up was Monopoly. Even in grade school I could be found inventorying my Halloween candy after trick or treating. My goldfishes in college were named FIFO and LIFO. And according to my husband John, my most attractive feature is my analytical mind….long story.

This blog was born out of my Midwest sensibilities, the thrill of a good bargain, and helping others. My Mom always bought things on sale and preached about quality over quantity. At Fiscally Chic, I talk about living simply, living your dreams, and having some fun in the process. You’ll find money tips in addition to style posts, recipes, and DIY projects. And as a mom, family permeates my thoughts and writing.
